Yeah, what will they think of next....to part parents from their money??? With a new grandchild on the way, and one approaching his thirteenth (and very athletic) year, testing for the sports gene seems a bit 'over the top' even for sports-minded grandparents like us! A Fantastic Mother's Day, 08
This was a special, beautiful Mothers Day. I'm grateful to everyone for all the love and care that came my way from family and friends. Lisa and Danny drove down from Gainesville with gifts and smiles. We had a delicious lunch at the club. This was our third year there for the Mothers Day buffet and it did not disappoint. Champagne! Roast beef and ham for the meat eaters, fish for me. Salad, veggies. And desserts too decadent to name! I had to visit the dessert bar twice. I know I'm bad, but it was Mothers Day after all.
Off we went to Circuit City, where Danny spent his birthday money from us on a beautiful new Sony music player. He had to stop by and play an electronic guitar on the TV. Don't ask me how, but he strummed and the music played from a animated character on the television.
Today was a day when I really felt the love from my family. I was reminded of how quickly time passes and how important these milestone moments are.
